Lets wish and hope that "Ankit & Mudassir" will bring again glory for college and our batch. As we already know that, they were shortlisted for Zee Aspire "Music to Money" Challenge in Mumbai Round. Now they will be competing for National Level round at ZEE STUDIO in Noida on 2nd Dec 2010. Earlier Ankit, Mudassir, Siddharth and Shreeravi performance in Quiz and music round performance ensured our entry to national round.

Indo-EU FTA Conference - Conference - PICS 1

Centre for European Business Studies and the conference on Indo-EU Conf.

Subsequent to my earlier post which talked a bit about the Conference on Implications of Indo-EU FTA, some more info is posted!!

The Objective of this conference was to :

• Discuss the implications of the FTA
• Provide insights to policy makers and business entities
• Discuss impact of FTA on the overall industry
• Discuss sector specific implications for finance, automobile & textile sector

PGCIM was actively involved in the coordinating the whole conference along with the good support from PGDM. The event was very successful and created a lot of  positive stir.

The conference was scheduled on 26-27 Nov. at the famous Trident Hotel in Mumbai. The timing of conference was chosen so that SPJIMR and ESB want to create something positive and progressive between India and EU. All the sessions went full house. Many industry stalwarts attended the session and like the level of discussions that took place. Some of the prominent attendees were:

• Peter Young, Counsellor, Head of Trade and Economic Affairs, Delegation of the European Union to India

Background for CEBS:

The Centre for European Business Studies  (CEBS)  is a joint centre of ESB Business School of Reutlingen University in Germany and S.P. Jain Institute of Management & Research (SPJIMR) in Mumbai, India. It was inaugurated in November 2009 by Baden-Württemberg’s then Minister President (Chief Minister) and  current EU Commissioner, Günther Öttinger. CEBS intends to enhance Indo-European understanding, academic exchange and business awareness.

Back from Holidays!!

After the much needed Diwali and term end break, we are now filled with new energy!!

In this trimester, a lot have to be covered.
Already, the following subjects are on the horizon:

• Production Management
• IT for Managers
• Operations Management and Supply Chain.
• Inter-cultural Management
• International Marketing Marketing Management

Along with the subjects, there will be 3 simulations and preparations for master thesis at the companies.
